St Joseph's has two full time Prep units. Prep is a learning place. To a child, it is a world full of exciting things to do, a place where they can come together in a friendly and attractive environment and are helped by people who understand and care. At Prep, the children learn by participating in activities planned by the teacher, drawing on children's interests. Prep is also a bridge which extends home experiences and environment and helps children through informal learning activities to be ready for school.
A key feature of Prep is that is makes connections between school and children's experiences at home, kindy, or childcare. In Prep, your child will have opportunities to learn in many different ways, through example, investigation, and play.
Opened in 2015, the St Joseph's Prep Precinct is within the main school environment. This provides children with a smooth transition to the school and prepares them for Year 1 as they become familiar with school routines.
Children must be aged five by 30 June in the year they enrol. Children who turn 5 before 31st July may be eligible upon application and review by the school Principal.
Enrolment application can be found at the Enrolment section of this website.
Our Prep teachers for 2019 are Miss Karlia Ryan (Prep Gold) and Miss Karena Davis (Prep Green).
