Welcome to St Joseph's School
St. Joseph's Catholic School Mount Isa is a vibrant, multicultural learning community with an enrolment of over 400 students. The School was first established in 1932 by the Sisters of St. Joseph's and it has grown to be one of Mount Isa's finest schools for academic, sporting, and cultural excellence. The school is a two stream school providing specialist teaching in Music, Physical Education, Cultural Studies (Languages other than English), and literature and it boasts a state of the art library facility, and a modern, well equipped Prep unit. All levels of student ability are catered for at St. Joseph's with the Student with Disability team and KIA (Kid's Intelligence Agency) program.
St. Joseph's staff and families are very active in the community and the school regularly enters local competitions, eisteddfods, and interschool sporting events. The P&F and Ladies Auxiliary work in close partnership with the school to provide support for new families, social activities, and fundraising.
In 2008 the school has introduced a middle schooling approach to education in upper primary linking into Good Shepherd Catholic College for pastoral care, sporting, and gifted and talented programs.
We Love Joey's.....
I love visiting St. Joseph's - it has such a special feel
and is always very welcoming. I come out once a year
and always feel at home here.
